Ellerslie Station
Edmonton, Alberta
The Ellerslie Station is a municipal hydrogen fuelling facility developed through the Alberta Zero Emissions Fleet Fuelling (AZEFF) project, supporting the City of Edmonton as it takes a meaningful next step toward zero-emissions transportation. By investing in hydrogen infrastructure, the City of Edmonton establishes itself as a first mover in hydrogen for transit and mixed-use applications and addresses the practical realities of fleet decarbonization - setting the example for how municipalities can move from concept to reality.
Designed to establish the standard as Alberta’s first hydrogen fuelling station of its kind, the Ellerslie Station is the result of developing innovative and pragmatic solutions to meet cold-weather performance and reliability requirements driving innovation in Hydrogen technology. The station serves Edmonton and surrounding communities as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles begin to enter municipal and private fleets. Through close collaboration with City stakeholders and trusted vendors, Azolla delivered a station built for today’s conditions—one that supports current fleet needs while creating a strong foundation for scaling hydrogen adoption tomorrow.
